ID File Editor
The ID File Editor is an application used to map connector and pin names to a particular address. For example, connector J1-A is linked to address 109 of the Analyzer. The ability to reference the pin is important for two reasons; the programmer ensures the correct pin is called in a test instruction and the user is given the pin name as the failure location.
This is an important feature and allows the TPS to select electrical characteristics in terms of voltage and resistance levels across these paths to determine electrical faults at various path locations throughout the TPS program. This is an excellent attribute that allows our customers to determine exactly where the hardware is having a failure and isolates the problem so that they may replace that harness or cable vs. the entire piece of equipment therefore reduces maintenance costs. The ID File Editor may ship on the ELITE Application CD or it may be shipped as a separate CD.
